The Victorian Geography Student Conference is a two-day, fully-catered conference to bring together Victorian PhD students studying all facets of geography. The conference aims to foster collaboration between disciplines, departments and fields of study by enabling PhD students to (re)think their topics from new perspectives and gain valuable experience communicating their work to a wider audience. This student-oriented conference is an excellent opportunity for early-career researchers to build professional networks with other early career researchers.
The conference is organised around four key themes—movements, thresholds, dimensions and encounters— with each session followed by a moderated discussion. We invite presenters to interpret how their research speaks to one of the four themes and hope to get as many different perspectives as possible.
Come along, communicate your research and meet other PhD researchers from around Victoria.
